While studying Political Science and German, Ann discovered Pilates and eventually the idea of a career in health and wellness. She is a Pilates enthusiast, but also generally loves the physical and psychological strength that come with attention to conditioning and movement, as well as healthy eating and controlled breathing.
Ann is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of The University of Iowa and certified in STOTT Pilates, having trained in studios in Dallas, St. Paul and Des Moines; her Barre training was in London, England. Ann enjoys the challenge of clients in all age groups, with varying levels of proficiency and goals. She’s interested in anatomy and physiology, and she pays close attention to working with clients to strengthen for injury prevention and to restore form, function, and health. Ann loves the way that Pilates makes her feel, and she finds that its benefits permeate all other areas of her life.
Ann is also a ACE certified personal trainer, and loves to incorporate Pilates work on the mat and the reformer into her personal training sessions. She currently lives in Iowa City, but is often traveling to and from Grinnell to see her parents and dog, RJ.
